Introducing Toadflow

Most project management tools ask you to think about a project as a list of tasks assigned to people. That works well inside a single company. It works less well the moment part of your team is a client, a contractor is only around for one project, or you're running several separate engagements out of the same small studio.

Toadflow starts from a different unit: the workspace. A workspace is your whole practice — every project you run lives inside it, along with everyone you work with. Projects inside a workspace get a board, a list view, a calendar, a message board for discussion, file sharing, and a simple budget log. People get one of three roles — Admin, Member, or Client — and a Client only ever sees the specific projects they've been added to.

What's here today

  • Kanban board, list view and calendar view for tasks, with subtasks, multiple assignees, priority and due dates
  • A "My Tasks" page that pulls together everything assigned to you across every project in a workspace
  • A Basecamp-style message board: titled posts, categories, threaded replies, unread badges
  • Rich text everywhere it matters, with @mentions in replies
  • In-app notifications for mentions, task comments and message replies
  • File sharing on projects and tasks
  • Budget and transaction tracking per project, with a workspace-level roll-up
  • Archiving for projects and discussions you're done with, without deleting anything

What's next

Realtime updates, email notifications, a timeline/Gantt view and a mobile app are all on the roadmap — see the Features page for the full, honestly-labeled list of what's built versus what's coming.

We'll be posting here as new pieces land. If you're running client work out of spreadsheets, shared docs and three different chat apps today, give Toadflow a try.
